Biography
My name is Josh Steckler, I was born February 8th 2001. I spent about a year at Glencarin public school from jk-sk then the rest of my elementary years at John Darling. My younger years weren’t the best, I often found myself injured in some way. I started judo at the Asahi judo club in SK but I decided to quit. I tried several other sports but none matched my interest. By the end of grade 4 I found my way back into judo and started competing. I was decent, I normally placed but only got a few golds. During my off season (which was only in summer) I had to do kickboxing at Double Dragon. By grade 7 I lost interest in both and decided to do jiu jitsu with a friend at Fear the Fighter. We stuck with that for a year before the club closed down. In grade 8 I did nothing. Grade 9 hit and I joined football and wrestling. That summer I wasn’t home at all, I’d be home to sleep then when I woke up I left. I spent the majority of my time either at Westheights, the log, the cut or doing renovations for a garage. I wasn’t the only one. A small group of us had the same routine everyday. This year I’m in rugby, currently working on completing grade 10.
